7 Scandanavian-inspired lodges nestled on the banks of two lakes offer an idyllic location for a getaway whether you are looking for a fishing break or a base for exploring the local area. The properties are surrounded by woodland offering peace and seclusion and are just a few steps away from the fishing lakes.
Each lodge has one double and two twin rooms, a fully-equipped kitchen, bathroom and a spacious living room with large French windows looking out over your personal terrace, close to the lake.

Please note: If the Lodges are not available for your preferred dates Roughlands bungalow is just next door to the Fisherman’s Lodges site and it only takes a few minutes to get to the fishing lakes from there.

Please note if your party is more than four there is an additional charge for the fifth and sixth person of £20 per person per week.

Location
The nearest village is Woodchurch which is 5 minutes away by car or a 30 minute walk.
It is a perfect base for exploring the beautiful Kent and East Sussex countryside, exploring the Cinque Port town of Rye or a jaunt to the coast. Find out more about things to do in the area here.

Transport
There is a carpark with one allocated space per property plus an overflow carpark.
The nearest train station is Appledore or Hamstreet which have trains towards Ashford and Brighton. Ashford International offers services to London in 40 minutes.
Bus services are available from Woodchurch to Ashford and Tenterden.

Gas and Heating
The properties have metered gas for the central heating, hot water and hob which must be paid for with 50p coins with the exception of Lodge 7 which takes pound coins.
All of our properties are non-smoking, however smoking is permitted in outdoor areas.
Disabled access
The Lodges can be accessed by wheelchair users but note that the ground is uneven and so they would need assistance getting around. There are steps from the carpark to the lodges and up to the lodge. We have a ramp available for use. There are two downstairs bedrooms and the bathroom is downstairs. We have a swim available for disabled anglers which can be reserved on request.
