Please note: If the Lodges are not available for your preferred dates Roughlands bungalow is just next door to the Fisherman’s Lodges site and it only takes a few minutes to get to the fishing lakes from there.

How to Book

You can book online using the calendar above. If you wish to book for a period that you can't see on the system or need help please call or email us as sometimes we can make special arrangements.

For long lets or if you prefer not to book online you can complete our contact form with your particulars and we will help you get booked in. Your booking is confirmed after we have received your security deposit.

Please note that because of the current COVID situation we have updated our check-in time to 4pm to allow for our cleaners to do a more thorough deep clean in-between guests to ensure your safety. Please do not disturb them or try to gain admission to the property before this time.

You will be sent information with how to check in on your confirmation email.

Check Out: 10am

Deposit

A security deposit is required to secure your booking. This will be returned to you after your stay, less any deductions for breakages etc.

We require a security deposit of £75 for holiday bookings and of the value of one month's rent for long lets.

Payment

We accept payment by: Bank Transfer, Mastercard, Visa, Cash or Cheque.

We must receive full payment for your holiday at least four weeks before your arrival. If the holiday is due to commence less than four weeks from the date of booking, full payment must be made when the holiday is booked.

Cancellation

The security deposit is non-refundable unless the holiday is cancelled within 48 hours of booking and stay is not within 30 days.

If cancellation is made more than 30 days before the holiday’s start any payments made will be refunded minus the Security Deposit.

If cancellation is within 30 days of the holiday’s start the full balance for the holiday must still be paid unless we are able to rebook the property.

Extra people

There is an additional charge for more than four persons per property of £20 each.

Bed linen

1 duvet and 2 pillows (single beds)/4 pillow cases (double beds) are provided free with each bed, there will be a charge for cleaning these if they are dirty after your stay. We provide bed linen for an extra charge of £15.50 per double bed and £10.50 per single bed.

Each bed set includes:

Double and kingsize: 1 duvet cover, 1 sheet, 4 pillowcases, 2 bath towels, 2 hand towels, 2 tea towels

Singles: 1 duvet cover, 1 sheet, 2 pillow cases, 1 bath towel, 1 hand towel and 1 tea towel.

Pets

We welcome pets provided they are well-behaved, however we do charge an additional £10 per animal which covers the additional cleaning (hair etc.) that they create.

We can only accept 1 dog per lodge at Fishermans Lodges.

All pets must be kept under control at all times and are the responsibility of their owner while on our premises.

Heating

The gas-fired central heating system is metered and must be fed with 50p/£1 pieces.

Fishing

Fishing is available in our two lakes. Fishing permits usually cost £4.50 per person per day or you can purchase a Family Fishing Permit which includes 4 people for £39.50. However there are some periods in the year when we offer fishing for residents at no additional charge (see below). You can find out more about fishing at Ashby Farms here.

Shooting

Rough shooting on our farms (not in the woods around Fisherman's Lodge), is available to residents. After your holiday rough shooting is generally available for an extra charge of £24 per gun per day. You can find out more about shooting at Ashby Farms here.

discounts and offers

Senior Citizens

With the exception of the weeks either side of a public holiday and the period between 14 June to 6 September, Senior Citizens may deduct a 10% discount on holiday bookings (not long lets), provided that all members of the party are senior citizens. In order to apply the discount when booking online please enter the code "SeniorCitizen".

Free fishing

During certain periods guests at Fishermans Lodges may fish at no additional charge. These dates are highlighted in green on the price list.

Long lets

As well as holidays we offer long lets of up to 5 months. These have different rates to our holiday stays and cannot be booked online. These are ideal for people who are moving home, buying or selling a house, or having decorating work done. All our properties are fully furnished but you can bring some of your things with you space permitting. We offer additional discounts for stays beyond one month. Electricity and wi-fi are billed separately for long-let customers.

You can bring your pets with you.

The properties best suited for long lets are:

Group Bookings

Our properties can sleep groups of 5 or 6 (at the Lodges). If you are travelling with a larger group, for example a work team-building outing, family reunion, getaway with friends or school trip this can be accommodated by booking multiple properties. Fishermans Lodges are best suited to this since they are all on the same site. Dependent on availability we can accept groups of 10+, 20+ up to 42 people.
